General Description
This Cylindrical Grinding Machine can be run via manual control, electrical system and hydraulic systems. It is used to grind the outer surface of the cylindrical or conical workpieces. The grinding wheel, rotation of workpiece, oil pump and cooling pump are respectively driven by independent motors. The lengthways advance and return movement of the lathe table can be stageless transmission achieved by hydraulic oil cylinder, or the table can also be moved by turning the hand wheel and further bringing along the rack. The lateral feed of the grinding carriage can be achieved in 3 ways: fast feed driven by hydraulic oil cylinder, automatic periodic feed and manual feed.

Introduction About the Main Components of the Grinder


(1) Lathe Bed

The lathe bed is of integral structure. The inside rib plate is of box layout. The bed is made of high-strength inoculated cast iron HT250 which is put through special treatment processes and is with high rigidity & stability, surface wear resistance and shock resistance. The bed can ensure that the equipment will maintain the required technical precision and stability under long-time running. Before assembly, we will conduct penetration & leakage test of the bed.

 

(2) Grinding Carriage and Feed System

The grinding carriage is made of high-strength inoculated cast iron HT250 which undergoes special treatment processes and is with high rigidity & stability. The spindle system adopts two sets of split sleeve dynamic pressure bearing and is with high precision and good rigidity. We use special technology to maintain the balance and stress correspondence of the two sets of bearing bushes, thus ensure that the spindle of the grinding wheel can keep high rotation accuracy and working stability in the process of long-time grinding. 


We also implement high filtration precision measures on the lubrication oil of the spindle grease-box, to control the oil temperature of the spindle system, thus achieve the overall stability of the grinding carriage, and the spindle system will work under the specified technical parameters all the time. The consistent size precision of the workpiece is thus realized. The maintenance and adjustment of the spindle system is convenient and reliable. While doing grinding on the workpiece, the feed of the grinding carriage can be manual or automatic. Both manual feed and automatic feed consist of two modes: coarse and fine.

 

(3) Lathe Table

The lathe table adopts two-layer structure: upper layer and lower layer, in order that you can adjust the cone angle of the workpiece. The moving of the table is driven by oil cylinder. You can achieve stageless adjustment of the moving speed. Or you can also move the table by turning the hand wheel.


(4) Tailstock

The movement of the tailstock is of manual control. The amount of movement is 70mm.

 

(5) Grinding Wheel Dresser

The dresser is of single point. It is fixed on the proper location of the lathe table.

 

(6) Hydraulic System

The advance and return movement of the lathe table, the fast-forward fast-backward movement and periodic feed of the grinding carriage, the anti-backlash of the feeding screw-nut of the grinding carriage, fore and aft motion of the tailstock sleeve, the automatic and manual switch movement of the lathe table, and the lubrication of the driving medium such as slideway, nut and gear etc. are all carried out by the hydraulic system. The hydraulic oil pump is internal gear pump. The hydraulic oil is 46# anti-wear hydraulic oil.

 

(7) Cooling System

The cooling system of the lathe is of independent circulating filtration. It fully meets the requirement of continuous high-efficiency grinding and ensures the grinding quality. 

 

(8) Protection System

The lathe is equipped with semi-enclosed protective device, to prevent the splash of the cooling liquid, and ensure the cleanness of the working environment and the health of the operator.

 

(9) Electric System

The lathe is endowed with functionalities such as interlock, safety guard etc. The protection class of the electric cabinet is IP54.


There are isolation measures between different electric cabinets and strong and week power systems. The electric cabinet is independent and is integrated with the lathe. It is equipped with 220V power socket and temperature control device. The electric components bear clear permanent labels or signs. Wiring inside the lathe uses water-resistant junction boxes. The terminals bear clear labels or signs. The current of solenoid valve contactor is DC24V. The current of lighting lamp is AC24V. The main electric components (button, switch, etc) are either imported or of famous Chinese brands.

Additional Advantages


The lathe table uses hydrostatic slideway. The flow of each hydrostatic oil chamber is adjustable. The overall buoyancy lift of the table is adjustable. Between the table slideway and base slideway there is one layer of oil film and a buoyancy lift of 2-3um. A 5-ton workpiece can be moved easily on top of it.

 

The spindle of the grinding carriage is hydrodynamic-hydrostatic. When the spindle rotates, it floats inside the wheel sleeve under the support of a 20-30 KG oil pressure. The grinding carriage is equipped with independent grease box. The oil goes through several layers of filtration, so that it can stay clean all the time. Oil cooler is equipped as well to control the oil temperature. This type of spindle has the characteristic of high rigidity and high precision.
